Get Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars for the Nintendo 3DS for Some Fun, Turn-Based Gameplay

If you like turn-based strategy games like Advance Wars and Military Madness, then you’ll enjoy Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars for the Nintendo 3DS. Unlike the other games in the Ghost Recon series, Shadow Wars is a turn-based affair that’s chock full of challenging battles, cool graphics, and multiplayer gameplay.

Classes play a big part in the game. Each of your Ghosts, which include an assassin; engineer; heavy machine gunner; medic; rifleman; and sniper, has special abilities. Some missions will limit your selection of soldiers, forcing you to choose the right Ghosts for the job.

There are 37 missions in Shadow Wars’ story mode in addition to the 20 challenge levels that you’ll be able to unlock over the course of the game. The game starts out simple, but ramps up in difficulty over time. However, you’ll be able to upgrade your squad’s armor and weapons after each mission, which will help you level the playing field.

A terrific-looking handheld title, Shadow Wars has lots of character and depth. The 3D effect makes each of the maps come to life while each of the characters looks distinct and has their own personality. The on-screen commands appear as large buttons, making them easy to read. The sound is also top-notch with professional voice acting, authentic-sounding gunfire effects, and loud explosives.

As you can see, Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars has a lot going for it. It’s challenging, looks good, and offers hours and hours of turn-based gameplay. You can usually pick the game up for around $25, but you can buy a brand new copy of Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars for just $14 from eBay. That’s right, a paltry 14 dollars will get you a brand new, sealed copy of Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars for the Nintendo 3DS. But there are only a few copies available at that price, so you better act now if you want it.
