If you’re itching for a new PS3 action game, you should pick up Call of Duty: Black Ops. It’s an oldie, but goodie. And it’s on sale at eBay for only $29.99.
Black Ops features a thrilling, one-player campaign that puts you in the role of CIA agent Alex Mason. Captured and tortured by an unknown enemy, you’ll be forced to re-live past missions through a series of flashbacks. The cinemas that play before and after each level are fantastic and the in-game action is second to none. You’ll fly a helicopter; ride a motorbike; run across rooftops; search the bowels of a dark ship; and engage in close quarters firefights.
If you prefer to play online, don’t worry. The online portion of Call of Duty: Black Ops is just as good, if not better than the single-player game. Like any good online shooter, Black Ops has a variety of match modes, including Capture the Flag, Demolition, and the ever-popular Team Deathmatch. But the game’s incentive system and character customization is what will keep you coming back to the game. Basically, you earn CODPoints or CPs by playing multiplayer matches. The more CPs you earn, the more weapons, camouflage, and gear you can buy for your online character.
If you still aren’t sold on Call of Duty: Black Ops, then read some of the reviews. 1UP.com gave it an A- rating; IGN scored it an 8.5 out of 10 and GamesRadar called it “unmissable”.
